| Education: Tony studied law (LLB (Hons)) and commerce (BCom) at the University of Otago and was admitted to the bar in New Zealand in 1995. |
| Experience: Tony is a partner in Buddle Findlay's national taxation team. He advises domestic and foreign clients on the New Zealand income tax and GST consequences of a broad range of transactions, including structured financings, mergers and acquisitions, inbound and outbound investment, and corporate restructurings. Tony also regularly provides advice to the New Zealand government. Tony has significant experience in tax disputes and negotiations with the Commissioner, and recently resolved one of the largest and most complex tax disputes which has arisen in New Zealand. |
| Tony is a recognised public speaker and has presented on a number of tax issues for both the New Zealand Law Society and the New Zealand Institute of Chartered Accountants. Most recently he has been presenting nationwide seminars on KiwiSaver, New Zealand's superannuation scheme. |
